The Nokia N97 mini smartphone scheduled for release October 2009.
Nokia announced today that it has for upcoming release three new Smartphones that will go head-to-head with Apple’s iPhone and RIM’s Blackberry Smartphone.
The Nokia phones are due for retail release in the last quarter of 2009. The new phones will feature applications and at least two of them will be touch screens.
The three phones for release are the Nokia X3, X6, and the Nokia N97 mini which will feature touch screen controls and social media applications for Facebook and allow users to customize their screens and have direct integration with Ovi Store for adding new widgets, mapping and integrated directory and guides of restaurants and reviews from Michelin and the Lonely Planet.
Nokia wants to get back market share that is lost to Apple and Blackberry. The company recently posted losses in its second quarter.
